121201 - December Freebie At Outlawz - Sponsored by Simply Betty Stamps (thanks Betty)

Hi Everyone!

I am so excited about this challenge!  Our members at Outlawz told us that they really liked the Progressive Monthly Challenge that we used to do....So Guess what everyone....IT IS BACK!!!

We are so very fortunate as well in this challenge to kick it off with a fantastic image from Simply Betty Stamps!  It is called Tangled Wednesday and You can buy her in the kit OR get it free at Outlawz challenges.  Since coming onto the Design Team at Outlawz I never would have tried an image like this because my glasses can never give me the vision I so long for back in my 30s when I didn't need glasses LOL so parts of this image were very tiny for my eyes.  However when Betty sent this image to me...I said BRING IT LOL.  I am so very happy how it turned out!  I cant wait to see how you create your!

The Copic Markers I used were;

Face E000,00,21,11,04,R20

Dec 1-The Stamping Boutique-Pocket Patootie Monkey Digi

I loved our challenge this week!  It is all about black and white!  The image can be found at our sponsor this week (The Stamping Boutique) Pocket Patootie Monkey Digital Stamp.  I cant believe how many Copic's I used to make this black and white card!

Monkey - W00, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8
Pocket - N0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
Banana - C00, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
Vine and Leaves - T0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

I water-coloured the background with a grey paint.  And then I had no idea how many of my stickles actually worked with this.  I used Black Diamond, Icicle, Star Dust, Frosted Lace, and Silver!

I was a bit unique this time with the folds of my card (basically because I scored on the wrong line LOL - shhhhhh I was tired LOL).  So that bow on the side actually ties to hold that flap at the bottom shut.  The I go Bananas this time of the year pulls down to then open up the Pocket Patootie Monkey to reveal the sentiment inside which is Happy Birthday!  I had a party to go to this afternoon and I just love the gal it was for and thought she would like the card.  We partnered it up with a black and white bag with her gift inside.  My daughter paired this with a lime green paper so of course I made the envelope with green and lime green polka dots to match the paper (what can I say...I am a bit OCD when it comes to this stuff).

Baby's Almost Here!

My first commissioned card!  And what a beauty it is!  I got this image from Make It Crafty called Sophie Expecting Baby!

I didn't really have any baby related embellishments - so when you don't have - CREATE! LOL.  So I hand drew the Baby Soothers then coloured them with Copic Markers - added ribbon and VOILA!

I love how it turned out - I hope the buyer also likes the card just as much!

The Copic Markers that I used for this are;

Skin - E000, 00, 21, 11, 04, R20
Hair - E44,47,49
Top - Y21,YR21,23
Jeans - B32,34,39

Antonetta's Pink Bridal Dress!

The Digi that I used for this card is Lizabeth Wedding Bliss.

This is a card that I made for my co-worker/friend!  She is finally getting married to her man in a very simple ceremony with her family on December 15th!  Although they have been living together for quite some time, it was the reason she did not get a white dress...she went with a pink one instead!  I hope I matched the colour to the same pink she has!  I know she will be delighted to get her card at our team X-Mas party!

The copic colours that I used were;

Skin - E000, 00, 21, 11, 04, R20

Hi Everyone!

Glad you all popped in to see my Challenge Card for November 17th for The Outlawz Monday Greeting Challenge.  This week it is all about ThanksGiving!

I loved the image from All Dressed Up called A Cuddle Makes it All Better.  Really the sentiment is so true!  This image can be used so many ways so truly is versatile!  This time I used it in what I feel are Thanksgiving colours - Lots of Copic Markers in the E family (which I totally never do LOL).  Just that pop of teal on her shirt and puppies bow I felt was great.  The Copic Markers I used for this image are;

Skin E000, 00, 21, 11, 04, R20
Hair E44, 47, 49

141110-VeteransDayCreateACardForTheTroops-BeansieDoodles-JumpinJellyBean

Hiya Everyone!

Thanks for joining me for another creation!

This week our theme at Outlawz is Create a Card for the Troops.  The image was created by Beansie Doodles - Jumpin Jelly Bean.

This was another hard challenge for me because I have never made a card for a Veteran or Active Armed Forces person.  All I could think of was how happy the old lady was to be welcoming her son or daughter or husband (OK really the old woman can be a cougar LOL).  Then when putting my project together I remembered that this was supposed to be a card that goes to an active troop member.

I mimicked the side like medals that soldiers would wear on their formal uniform.  The bling is Martha Stewart Jewels.  The copic markers that I used are;

Skin -  E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair - C00, C0, C1, C2, C3, C4
Dress - YG95, YG99
Slippers - YG95, YG99, W1, W3, W5, W7
Frill - YG00, YG01, YG95
Walker - W1, W3, W5
Tennis Balls on Walker - YG00, YG01, YG06

141103-Theme-FallColours-SS-SelfConsciousPaulie

This was such a fun card to make!  I actually went the traditional white polar bear first then remembered we were doing the theme of fall colours!  I just couldn't get the white polar bear to work with the fall colours...so back to the drawing board and went with a brown grizzly bear!

The Digi you can find at Sweet and Sassy - Self Conscious Paulie.

I used the grass border Sizzix then I used Stampin Up - Ever Green tree along with one purchased from Michaels (sorry don't know who the designer of that stamp is).  I double mounted this onto Deep Green card and Rust coloured paper.

The Copic Markers that I used for this project are;

The Bear - E47, E49, E57
The Tongue - R20
The Ears - R30
The Scarf - E22, E35, E57, E09 along with Y15, Y19, YR04, YR09

141027 - Anything Goes Challenge - Jingles the Elf

Hi Folks!

I hope you all had a fantastic party this past week.  I also hope that you were able to get in on the games for a chance to win some fantastic prizes!

Thanks for taking the time to pop by to see my card details for the challenge from the Outlawz - Monday Greetings for October 27th! The theme this week is Anything goes!  My image is is from Inky Designs called Jingles The Elf

I love when you get an image that completes the whole project with minimal bling or embellishments.  You find that perfect paper that just does it all!  I cut out the image and then pop dotted the heck out of the image LOL.  It gives it the dimensional aspect that looks like the bunny is walking behind the walls like in a mouse hole.

The Copic Markers that I used this week were;

Fur: E40, E41, E42, E43, E44 and E49
Bunny Ear: RV11, RV32, RV34

All Dressed Up - Cute got Cuter

Isn't the title of this digi just the bomb?  Cute Just got Cuter!  It was a freebie that I was able to get from All Dressed Up Stamps Blog.  It was perfect because all you need to enter their existing challenge is to use an All Dressed Up Stamp.

The Copic's that I used to colour this Digi are;

Fur - E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E49
Ear Fur - N1, N3, N5
Bow and Fire Hydrant - R34, R39, R59
Bone - E40, E41

The fire hydrant is a stamp from Stampin Up - Canine Capers.  I cut it out and then curled it to have the effect of the roundness of the true fire Hydrant.

The background paper is also a stamp from the same Stampin Up collection and I embossed the paw print with clear embossing powder and a heat gun.

Betty's Spider Incident LOL

So I heard one of my favourite designers had a spider problem!  This was one of the first images that I had coloured from her line awhile ago.  It was when I had no clue to keep the colours of the markers I was using (well I did keep track when I was colouring, I just didn't record it and clearly the two papers went their own way so lost track of the actual colours).  It's too bad too I love how the colour of the skin turned out.  It was the first time I had done the skin any different than my traditional copic markers.

If I find the paper I will modify the post and list them.

141020 - Outlawz Challenge - Theme - Circles - Dr Digi - Headsman Heathcliffe

Hi Everyone,

The challenge this week for the Outlawz is Circles!  My circles are in a few places.  The first and most obvious to me is the background paper with the green, purple and yellow circles.  Under the bow is the a circle that I cut into half and then placed one above the other.  The next is the actual pumpkin and last is the ribbon has purple circles down the centre of the ribbon.

The image that I used is Dr Digi - Headsman Heathcliffe.  I goofed with my watercolour background on Heathcliffes arm.  I cleverly covered up with a tattoo of the devils pitchfork.  I coloured the image with the following Copic Markers;

Skin: E000, 00, 21, 11, 04
Pumpkin: YR15, 68, 27
Pumpkin Eyes: W3, 5, Y19, YR15, 23
Wood: E31, 35, 57, 79
Blade: W1, 3, 5
Shoes/Mask: C1, 3, 5, 7
Pants: B91, 95, 97, 99

Background is Blueish Watercolour Paint

Sentiment was dictated by my husband LOL

I would like to enter this project into the following challenges;

I hope you enjoyed this weeks challenge!  I hope you follow us next week for another challenge.  Good Luck!

Mummified

Hi Everyone!

I coloured this image while following along with a tutorial from Zoe from Make It Crafty while my daughter enjoyed herself at Canada's Wonderland!  Geesh what a mom won't do for their kid huh?

Anyhow the colours I used for this image were;

Skin - E13
Bandages - W3, 5, 7, 9, 110

I am entering this card into the following challenges;

The colours I see are the purple (main colour) then from the pillow I pulled out the green and orange. The Obsidian October challenge - I wasn't sure what Obsidian meant LOL - so I went to Google (isn't that what we all do?) and found that it was a lava rock.  I mimicked this part of the challenge with the 5 purple crystals on the image.

Hope you enjoyed popping by.  Come join us at the Outlawz for the party starting now and will last until 24th!  Cant wait to see you around.

141015 - Sketch Challenge - Thanks

Hi Everyone!

Awhile ago I bought these stamps from StampinUp because I loved the sentiments and thought they would make elegant cards.  I took the stamp and hand painted the colours using craft stamps (the ink stays wetter longer) then I used clear embossing powder and heat set the powder.

I then cut out the letters of T H A N K S and then Stickle Glittered these in Copper.

I mounted the white card stock onto a deep hunter green.

Stuck a bow onto the card and voila!  All complete!  Only took me 2 hours LOL.  But the satisfaction of the card was totally worth it in my opinion.

I entered this card into the Outlawz challenge for Wednesday for Sketches!

Oct 12-Outlawz Challenge - Embossing

Hi Everyone!

This week at Outlawz the challenge is embossing.  My embossing embellishment is the word Christmas.  I cut this out of white card stock with the Die Cut set from Sizzix called Holiday Words: Script.  I then used two embossing powders - Midnight Stars then I added some White Sparkle powder to the top before melting the powders with the heat gun.

The image I used this week is from Lacy Sunshine called Fidget - The Flying Monkey.  Great image this was and it gave me some practice colouring wings.  Not bad for my 4th set of wings LOL.  The colics I used for this image are;

Skin:  E000, 00, 21, 11, 04, R20
Hair: B41, C5, 7, 9, 100
Shirt/Socks/Hat: R35, 37, 56
Jumper/Socks/Hat/Eyes: G24, 28, 29
Wings: RV10, R83, 85, 89

The Card was a new DieCut that I bought from Sizzix called Card with Merry Cut-Out.

I have entered this project into the following Challenges;

Sept 29th Challenge - Anything Goes

This week at Outlawz Challenges we have an Anything Goes Theme!  I am so into designing my Christmas cards right now.  My husband says WOW thats great on every card I am making right now so figured I would capitalize on hearing that for as long as I can LOL.

This week I used the Christmas Boo Digital Stamp that you can purchase at LacySunhine.  She is so adorable with her big eyes.  Normally I always use brown eyes (thats the shade of my lovely Daughter Ashley's eyes) however today I went out of my comfort zone and used green eyes.

Image is coloured using Copic Markers.  The shades I used for this image are;

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 and Blush/Lips R20
Hair - E44, E47, E49
Pajamas - V15, V17, BV08
Hat - Red - R27, R29, R59
Hat - Green - G24, G28, G29
Hat - Fur - B0000, B000, B00

Paper I used is Simple Stories-Cozy Christmas purchased from a local Scrapbooking Store (about 45 min drive - so much for local LOL) One Crazy Stamper.  It's all about the glitter for me so I also used Stickles;

Star Dust
X-Mas Red
Lime Green
Copper

I mounted the project onto a simple green coloured card for a softer look and completed project.

I hope you enjoyed my creation for this week.  I look forward to design the next project.  I look forward to you popping back on Monday next week to see my next project.

Betty (from Simply Betty Stamps) Sister's Birthday Celebration

Having an artist as a sister can sometimes be such fun.  What a great idea Betty had to make a digi for her sister's special day and offer it to anyone who wanted to make her sister a card.  Here is my take on this special occasion.

Digi - Simply Betty Stamps - LetMeTakeASelfieAmy
I am not sure if it is available on SimplyBettyStamps.net at this time.  I was not able to find it there to add a link.

COPICS USED

Face/Skin - E000, 00, 21, 11, 04
Blush - R20
Hair - E44, 47, 49

Shirt - Y17, 11, 15
Shorts - B91, 96, 97, 99

My E49 actually started to bleed just after the skin was completed and most of the hair.  Do you like how I hid that error with the party hat?  I thought it was very creative LOLOL.

The card was for a birthday party my daughter went to for a girlfriend who also had her party for Halloween.  I tried to marry the two themes together.

I do not recall the copic colours that I used for this card.  The image I found at Deviant Art
