Happy Ho-Ho-Holidays

The inspiration for this card came from CardsByChristine.  I loved the simpleness of the card and how elegant it was.  I used a stamp that I had from StampinUp (not sure on the title as I have had this set for many years and I took all my stamps off the blocks and put them into DVD Cases for storage limitation LOL).  I think the card turned out pretty good!  Christine is much better tho with just her sentiment LOL.

The Copic Markers that I used for this image are;

Skin - E000, E21, R20
Santa Coat/Hat - R59, R37, R35
Santa Pants - N7, N5, N3, R35

The additional items that I used are;

Red/White Bakers Twine that I unraveled to use only the red
Bells
Swarovski Crystal for Santa's Hat Pom-Pom

ADU - Night Night - Welcome Little One

This is the cutest image from All Dressed Up called Night Night Little One that I have had for awhile.  My friend asked for a nice card to welcome a little girl into one of her friends home.  A new addition of a child is the best gift anyone can receive!  I remember when my daughter arrived and my life has never changed since.  Her dad bought her a bunny for her crib similar to this one.

The Copic Markers that I used were;

RV10, RV21, RV13
V12, V15, V17

Simone's a Gramma!

A few months ago my girlfriend told me the great news about her son and that he and his new wife were going to have her first grandchild!  I wasn't able to go to their Wedding and felt that it was the least that I could do to make the Baby Shower Invitations!

I new I wanted to do something interactive so that the guests needed to find the details rather than just opening a card.  I hope you like the video showing how the card works.

I simply glued the top, bottom and one side of the backing paper and that left the slit down the left side of the card.  Using a smaller paper printed from the computer will all the details (my girlfriend wanted to write in the details herself rather than have it computer generated) on one side of the card and the map with directions on the flip side.

The end result was fantastic and Simone was delighted with the 28 invitations! LOL

Christmas Cards - Who doesn't love to make them?

Here is the 2nd Xmas Card that I made scrap lifting from Vicky LOL!

So I didn't have the village stamp and had to go out and buy one (card above has the village stamp I could find), but I had to try this technique from watching Vicky's video.  Clearly the village works much better than the large houses below I think.

The changes that I will make on the next card is not to use the embossing paste for the roof tops.  It was so messy and I think too much dimension.  I will use the liquid mask and then maybe some stickles for the snow on the roof top.  I will figure it out when I have some more time to do these again.

I am selling this card (well the new improved one with stickles) as well for $5.00 or 5 for $20.

 Believe in the season!

I was inspired by one of the artists that I follow, Vicky Papaiannou.  She sure does make things look easy!  Well this one really was.  The video (if you haven't seen Vicky's videos yet - I warn you they are highly addictive) I watched showed how to make the actual background as well as how to create the inlay for the wording.  I changed some elements...OK I didn't have the same snow flakes as she did, or the image for this card LOL.  I did partner it up with Santa and had a great die cut from Tim Holtz, I just love the word BELIEVE!  I was lucky enough to find the stamp - Penny Black - Season's Gifts for the sentiment on the inside of the card below.

The actual Santa Images are all from Make it Crafty and they are called, Cheeky Santa, Cheery Santa and Jolly Santa.  I just love the Make It Crafty images...they are so easy to colour because Zoe has all the shading lines on her images!

The Copic Markers that I used for these images are;

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Beard - C00, C1, C3

Pants/Shoes/Belt - W7, W5, W3, W1
Buttons/Buckles - YR23, Y15, Y11, Y00

I have these cards selling for $5.00 each or 5 for $20.
