Happy Birthday Tyrell - JadeDragon

Happy Birthday Tyrell!

This card was ordered just in time for Tyrells 16th birthday!  Tyrell is a basketball guru and mom wanted him to be able celebrate both functions on the same day as his first love (until he gets a girlfriend it is basketball for now LOL).  The image I found on site from Jade Dragon.

The Copic Markers that I used for this project are;

Skin:  E51, E43, E55
Hair:  E34, 35, 47
Eyes:  E79, E49, E55
Uniform: W9, W7, W5, W3, W1 FB2
Basketball:  E79, E47E08
Hoop:  YR04, YR09, R59
Shoes:  RV29, RV25, RV23, RV21

Background

Sky:  Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass
Ground:  C9, C7, C5, C3, C1

The paper that I used were from my stash!  I just did not have many manly embellishments so I watched a video on you tube on how to make a basketball net and then attached a die cut circle that I coloured in the basketball lines with a Black Micron (08) marker!  I strongly recommend everyone to learn this technique it can be used for lots of things and in particular for safety issues if ever you need them!  Isn't crafting fun??

Anyhow, thanks for joining me this week for my project!

April 17th - High Hopes Rubber Stamps - Happy Panda

WOW the week came and went!!!  I am so late for my project this week!  Where oh where does the time go?  This week I worked with Happy Panda from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I had this one chosen because my niece turns 16 this year in a few weeks and her name is Amanda so OF COURSE her nick name is Manda Panda!

The Copic Markers that I used are;

Panda - N9, N7, N5, N3, N1 - E40, E41
Mouth - R20, R22
Bambo - E55, E53, E51
Leaves - YG25, G24, 28

The Sky and ground are the Distress Inks from Tim Holtz!  I am just inspired by a nice cloudy sky and I seem to use this background quite a lot right now!  It saves on copic marker ink too LOL.  The inks that I used for the ground were Tea Dye, then on top the Crushed Olive.  The sky is simply the Tumbled Glass.

The paper that I used for the background I purchased from One Crazy Stamper

I hope you will join me on Friday for another image that I will be sharing with you from High Hopes!

The challenges that I am entering this card into are:

150412-OutlawzChallenge-AprilShowers

This is my first EVER digital project!  I think it turned out rather well for a first attempt!  The papers are provided by our fantastic sponsor this week Lisa from Decosse Dynamite Doodles.  She worked with each of us to make sure we got the product that we wanted, was a fantastic way to arrange this card...Lisa also let me know how to do a digital project (which was extremely helpful LOL)!

The papers that I used are from the follow paper packs!

I found the Flowers and Bow online in a GIF format and put the whole thing together using my Silhouette Application!  I am still getting to know my Silhouette that my husband bought for me in November as a Christmas Present!  So its great to know that I can use it when I want to do some digital work!

I have entered this card into the following challenges;

Outlawz - Monday Greetings - April Showers

Thanks for joining me this week!  I look forward to your next visit!

150403-Dancing Hedgehogs!

Hi Everyone,

Welcome back to my creation for today.  The image that I used is from High Hopes Rubber Stamps called Dancing Hedgehogs!  The Copic Markers that I used for this project are;

Hedgehog - E40, E41, E42 and E44, E47, E49

Sky 0, B00, BG01, BG05, B06, B18
Clouds 0, B41, B93, C0, BG70
Grass YG01, YG03, YG25, YG17, YG67, YG99

I tried a different technique for the sky and grass and cannot say that I am very proud of this but everyone needs a starting point and I just started doing backgrounds about 6 weeks ago.  This is all about learning right?  RIGHT?? LOLOL  Only can improve every time I try!  On the upside - I gave this card to a neighbour today because he was so helpful over the winter with snow blowing our driveway when my husband took sick so its all good!

Well Happy Good Friday and I hope you have a wonderful Easter!

See you next time!
Michelle
